I first met Mark Jenkins at a seminar held at the Rothley Court Hotel back in 2002.
What he and his colleague was trying to put over to the gathered audience is lost to me over the mists of time but what hasn’t been lost is how Mark was prepared to discuss an issue I had even though he had been talking to the audience for probably a couple of hours and about 10.00 pm. I asked Mark after he had finished the seminar discussions if he would be prepared to help me with my finances as I had just left my job after 44 years service.
I didn’t trust the company I had left to sort out my pension fund and Mark who I had never met or spoke to until that night at Rothley Court agreed to help without delay.
What he found out and the barriers my previous company put up would have caused a significant delay but due to his diligence and knowledge of the “finance game” my issues were sorted sooner rather than later.
Suffice to say after many meetings at our house both my wife and I have involved Mark in various fields of finance and so very glad we did.
Even in the rocky time of 2008-9 when the world seem to go mad Mark continued to come and meet us and put us in as calm a place as you could be at that time so the trust we now have in him is tremendous.
After 17-18 years he still calls at our house after Clare his wife has made the appointment with regular reviews of our finances and always with the parting words “if you need me just ring” and I’ll be over to see you.
We did not know at that time in 2002 what sort of person he was but after all the years since we count our blessings that Mark Jenkins is our very good friend not just a business aquaintance.
We always look forward to our next meeting with him.

I asked to come to see you to review my pension scheme further to one of your ‘Afternoon Tea’ meetings at Kilworth House.

Since I was an apprentice mechanic I have always paid in to a pension and throughout the years going through various roles and employers I have always opted in to the scheme.
